The "red book" contains important information on the reprocessing of instruments to retain value

The Instrument Reprocessing Working Group (AKI) has published its recommendations on the preparation of instruments in hospitals, dentists' and veterinary practices in four brochures, with the aim of developing and publishing expertise and practical information on the safe reprocessing of instruments in healthcare industries to retain their value.

"Reprocessing of Instruments to Retain Value", nicknamed the "red book", is the publication that AKI is best known for. It has helped to improve reprocessing throughout the world. The brochure contains recommendations for the proper handling and care of medical devices (e.g. of surgical instruments, endoscopes and equipment etc.) in hospitals and practices.

On the AKI website www.a-k-i.org you will not only find these brochures to download, but also interesting information on the activities and results of AKI research.
